Manufacturers in Hebei reported that the off-season trend in the automotive battery market persisted, with weak new orders and significant inventory pressure on finished products. The operating rate of factory production lines in May had dropped to around 80%, and raw material lead was being purchased as needed. Manufacturers in Zhejiang reported that the automotive battery market was in the off-season, with dealers exercising caution in procurement. Meanwhile, export orders had declined. To avoid inventory accumulation, the current factory operating rate was between 70-80%, and raw material procurement was mainly through long-term contracts.
